AUSTRALIAN SONG HITS NUMBER 5 ON EURO GOSPEL CHART
Joyful Shouting, the song written by Australian-based singer, song writer and guitarist Jonathan James, was placed number 5 in the Euro Gospel Charts last month, according to Paul Davis the producer and director of New Christian Music in the UK.
The Euro Chart is a weekly reaction chart compiled by New Christian Music Enterprises from feedback returns received from 500 DJs, record producers, music critics and agents throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
Jonathan’s song was chosen from his recently released CD of worship favorites My Covenant recorded and produced in Singapore and Australia. Paul Davis described the CD as “a top folkish, praise and worship release recorded with the help of solid musicians….Jonathan’s deep faith is an essential reason for this album’s existence. With a simple believable quality in his voice, there is an out of the ordinary, lingering excellence especially when he sings proverbially in the major key…the result is a winning mix especially ‘Joyful Shouting’”.
Dennis Payne the Presenter of Hot FM and Station Manager of Son-FM in Australia described Joyful Shouting as “a top praise and worship song with a touch of country, just right for a station like ours”
Jonathan, the International Director of Asia Evangelistic Fellowship, based in Perth is working towards the release of his third CD of Worship and Gospel favorites sometime next year.
His first 2 Worship CDs- I am the Lord and My Covenant are available at selected Christian bookshops and through AEF International.
